    Get Promoted

30 years after asking clients on what way to get promoted, a man named Asher created an antagonistic approach. He found out that a lot of employees see promotion as a prize or something they achieve when their employer distinguish they are qualified for the second level. The key is preparation and practice according to Asher.

Practice your Proxy/s – Train your replacement suppose you get promoted. The reason why companies are afraid to promote a staff is the need to train two workers at the same time. Your application for promotion will get granted when you have effectively trained your substitute. Asher relates to employees that they shouldn’t be too fundamental on their present position or else their boss will depend on them. That means no promotion on their part.

Be aware of new positions – Suppose there are new positions in other branches, then you have to finish your current project and apply for that position to be the first choice.

Asher relates the predicament of an employee who works at a big company. She thought of acquiring a promotion. Unfortunately, she received a hard task to help the company move to a new center on the middle of the time when her employer was opening its first office in Asia. It was a big break for her which she unfortunately didn’t acquire.

Asher says “Company intelligence is worth its weight in gold”. Assuming that the HR  professional about the new opening in Asia she might have refused or replaced someone for the move and get ready for that Asia plans.

Adopt “Trojan Horse” compliments – Asher advice not to ask directly about certain issue least you try it by compliments. For instance, after a board meeting or presentation in Chicago, tell your manager how effective his explanation was and how you were motivated by it.

Grab every promotion – Take it or leave it. Of course, take it! Asher says, grab every possible opportunity and be flexible for relocations – it helps you to get promoted again. There are people who don’t want to leave their locations at New York, San Francisco and Seattle. When someone asked you to move over to Dusty Nowhere – grab it. That way, you’ll get used to being relocated. “There’s a difference between age 28 and 38,” says Asher. “If you don’t move in the early years, you’re losing the opportunity to break out of the pack.”

Search for a Mentor – Link yourself to someone who can evaluate you and give you some task to boost your skill. It’s like your first term in a presidency such as Obama’s cabinet working towards their positions. Like George Stephanopoulos from being a congressional staffer to being a press secretary of Clinton up to chief political correspondent for ABC News.

Study- Always learns new things during your transfer. An HR professional who was aware of a downturn found a way out. Though the company pulls out employees, she wasn’t and was hired to help out.

Important Tips to Cultivate for Future Entrepreneurs

There are natural entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs made. We all are entrepreneurs and some of us just need to develop this skill. The word entrepreneur was derived from French word, etreprendre, which means “to undertake” or simply start a business. According to Merriam-Webster dictionary, an entrepreneur who organizes, handle and determines the market or industry. Not every one of us can do this plus the definition ranges from business, social, political and economics.
Entrepreneurship is a difficult field to evaluate because not all are born-entrepreneurs. I am on the process of being an entrepreneur. Ten years experience in mechanical engineering. It’s not too late to pursue my goal, right. I have about 3 years experience in entrepreneurship while working here at Singapore. My first job was a FOREX Trading. Eventually, I joined the multi-level marketing business and now as an online entrepreneur as a search engine marketer.
How can you develop your potential as an entrepreneur?
1    Have a Clear Goal – I learned to write our goals/dreams on our first network marketing business. Why you like that dream/goal? Why is it essential? All about why. This is the root of every business goal – to have purpose. It comes out when you decide to be emotional.

2    Dedication – It pushes yourself to hold on to your goals. It gives you enough energy to do what you really love. It motivates you to do your best.

3    Practice Makes Perfect – Practicing skills and abilities to sharpen it helps a lot. What makes you stand-out from other actor is continuous practice. According to Outliers: The Story of Success by Malcolm Gladwell’s book, you need a 10,000-Hour Rule.
“Being an entrepreneur is not a group effort. You have to trust yourself.” – Donald Trump

    What’s Wrong with Being Too-Qualified

You applied for a job that requires a Bachelors Degree and has four years experience while you have Masters or PhD and got more than experience needed, you wasn’t hired.

Did you know that applying for a job which you are too qualified can keep you landing a certain job? If you are aware of their intentions why don’t employers hire too qualified individuals, you’ll be able to have an effective job search and you will avoid rejections as well.

Money Problems – Three years ago, a man named, Charlotte Tomic moved to Florida, she tried to apply for junior public relations positions since there’s no available for senior professional positions. The employers weren’t enthusiastic of her exceptional resume.

Tomic stated that even though the job was offered and she was willing to take it, it’s still isn’t enough.

People work for one major reason – money. You may be okay with minimal salary but in the future you would find something that would fit your expertise plus pays high amount of salary. Definitely, you would leave your low salary job and transfer to the high paying one. This is why employers won’t hire you.
There are other Issues Concerned such as, these 3 questions asked by hiring entities themselves, derived from the book entitled “Unlock the Hidden Job Market: Six Steps to a Successful Search When Times Are Tough,” co-authored by Duncan Mathison.

    1.      Does the person have the ability and skills to do the job?

    2.      Is the applicant motivated to do the job in that it meets her needs, interests and values?

    3.      How will this candidate fit into the group, the organizational structure and culture?

Having a lot of competitors may keep you from acquiring that job as well. You must also overcome your fears.

Ford Kanzler of El Granada, California was an overqualified applicant but he used that “flaw” to get hired. He admitted he was too qualified but for that reason he is absolutely competent to do the job and they could work together. He got the job and worked for quite sometime. Furthermore, it’s good to show how motivated you are even you’re too qualified for the position.
Polishing your Resume- Your resume must fit your employer’s requirements. Changing certain address can help such as using “Project Team Leader” instead of “Manager”, cutting years of expertise, decreasing terms and trainings.
